Embroidery Workshop

Join us for a delightful afternoon of artistic expression at our Embroidery Workshop run by Sean Dendere’s a multidisciplinary artist 🧵

Dendere up-cycles many of his own garments and commissions with embroidery and unique stitches on his minimalistic yet eccentric aesthetic.🪡

Through embroidery, Dendere adds further sentimentality to his clothes as they are already a significant part of his identity in life. When stains and rips appear his first thought is not to throw them away but to patch them up and bring them back to a new life! Participants will leave being able to do two new different stitches and achieve the basics of embroidery, which will inspire them to take up a new hobby!

We will provide cotton patches cut from old clothes for the users to experiment on for the workshop so that we are not using any virgin material but also it’ll represent their own clothes. We encourage you to bring your own cotton garment if you feel confident to work straight onto them.

This workshop is perfect for anyone aged 16 and above, whether you’re a seasoned embroiderer or a complete beginner eager to learn the art of needle and thread. The materials will be provided!
